László Pátyerkó – Box Art Exhibition at JESZ Foyer
The artist László Pátyerkó, born in Kiskunhalas and living in Veszprém County, creates melancholic, surreal box artworks that serve as memory images of a disappearing world. Meticulously detailed, these fictional compositions draw on emblematic objects from roughly the 1920s to the 1980s, creating quasi-documentary milieus. They tell stories of lives we all remember, yet never truly existed. Interiors, classrooms, and apartment courtyards come alive for visitors, evoking memories that feel strangely familiar — yet these spaces never had inhabitants.
Opening: November 7, 2025 – 18:00
Exhibition dates: November 6–9, 2025, during the day, in the JESZ foyer
